G A T E W A Y

In my freshmen year of CIBACS, we were assigned a simulation, known as Gateway. The goal of this assignment was to successfully relocate a local business to a foreign country. My team, which consisted of my fellow colleagues,  Sofia Palma, Kristina Kalatschan, and Sarah Anguiano, had the opportunity to move Boardwalk Burgers to Cuba.

During the process of relocating a new restaurant in Cuba, we had to develop a mission statement, situation analysis, powerpoint, S.W.O.T report, hiring methods, marketing plan, timeline, and advertising methods. 

Boardwalk was originally just a local spot to get the most delicious fries, but it turned into something much more than that. Along with fries, they now serve burgers and shakes. Their warm and inviting, beachy atmosphere makes everyone want to come in and enjoy a juicy burger with salty, but not too salty fries, and a nice creamy shake to top it all off. I mean how can you resist that?
